PURPOSE:To prevent thick originals such as a book from shifting in position by arranging a couple of parallel rotatable rollers at proper positions in a fixed original cover at right angles to the sliding direction of a movable original cover and extending a belt with a white surface which is inverted by the couple of rollers in an S shape between a lock part and an insertion end part. CONSTITUTION:The fixed original cover 2 is sectioned in an inverted U shape and a rectangular cut 4 which is downward open is formed in the left vertical end surface. The movable original cover 3 is also in an inverted U shape, the top surface 3a is so inserted into the fixed original cover 2 as to contact the cut 4 while passing over the rollers 6, and the lock part 8 which prevent the movable original cover 3 from separating is provided to the right upper end part of the top surface 3a. A sliding lock member 9 is positioned when stored in the fixed original cover 2 by engaging a guide member 5. The white belt 10 which is inverted in moving direction by the rollers 6 and 7 of the fixed original cover 2 is extended in the S shape between the internal surface of the lock part 8 on the top surface 3a of the movable original cover 3 and the lower end edge of the tip lock part 9a of the sliding lock member 9.
