NEW MATERIAL:The 2-amino-3-deoxy-D-allose derivative of formula having the following physical and chemical properties. Appearance, white powder, melting point 228 deg.C (decomposition); [alpha]D=-24.8 deg. (C=0.5, 0.1M acetic acid); molecular formula, C25H42N4O14; etc. USE:Insecticidal and miticidal agent and chitinase inhibitor. PREPARATION:A microbial strain belonging to Streptomyces genus and capable of producing the compound of formula (e.g. Streptomyces sp.SANK 62785) is cultured at about 27 deg.C for 50-120hr preferably in a liquid medium using submerge technique. The objective compound of formula is separated from the culture product. |
