PURPOSE:To obtain a clad metallic plate having uniform structure and excellent exfoliation strength by casting a metal for a base metal onto the surface of the metallic plate for cladding to maintain the same in a welded condition, then rolling the metallic plate at the recrystallization temp. or above and transformation point temp. or above of the metal for the base metal. CONSTITUTION:The metallic plate 1 for cladding is continuously fed into a casting mold 3 and the metallic material 5 for the base metal is filled into a cavity 4 formed on the casting mold 3 and the metallic plate 1 for cladding. A composite material 6 joined with the two metals is successively drawn out to the lower part of a continuous casting device 2 and is fed to the 1st rolling device 7, by which the rolling is started. The composite material is then rolled under the conditions of the recrystallization temp. or above and the A3 transformation point temp. or above in this stage. The material is further fed into the 2nd rolling stage 8 and is rolled down to a required thickness, by which the working structure in the rolling stage is statically recrystallized and the formation of the finer crystal grains is accelerated. The material is worked to the shape which is projected on the clad layer side having the larger coefft. of linear expansion by taking the coefft. of linear expansion into consideration upon ending or just prior to ending of the rolling stage and thereafter, air cooling is executed. The produced clad material plate 10 is a flat plate having no camber. |
