摘要 PURPOSE:To compensate the temperature characteristic of the quantity of transmitted light of a liquid crystal light valve and to obtain a sharp color image by providing a voltage compensating circuit consisting of >=2 resistances at least one of which has a remarkable temperature characteristic. CONSTITUTION:Color separated signals R1, G1 and B1 of the 1st picture element which are obtained through a color separation filter and a photoelectric transducer are supplied to a color signal determining circuit C1 to determine one of white, black, red, green, and blue. Similarly, color separated signals R2, G2, and B2 of the 2nd picture element - color separated signals Rn, Gn, and Bn of the (n)th picture element are supplied to chrominance signal determining circuits C2-Cn to determine one of white, black, red, green, and blue respectively and chrominance signals of (n) picture elements in total are inputted from the chrominance signal determining circuits C1-Cn to a shift register 2 and converted into a time-series signal with the transfer clock CK1 of the shift register 2. The output voltage V4 of a rectangular wave generating circuit 1, resistance divided voltages V3-V1, and an earth potential V0 are inputted to voltage selecting circuits M1-Mn and one of the V4-V0 is selected by voltage selecting circuits M1-Mn respectively with the time series signal of chrominance signals of the shift register 2 and then inputted to the liquid crystal light valve 3.
