PURPOSE:To stop both thin paper and curled original surely by forming the parts of an original stopping member in abutment on a conveying belt to a tooth shape of a comb having a certain pitch, providing a rake angle to the surface in abutment on the original and a relief angle to the surface in contact with the belt. CONSTITUTION:The top ends of stopping pawls 23 are formed to a tooth shape of a comb and a relief angle alpha is formed between the top surface 23a of the pawls and the outside circumferential surface of a belt 12. The belt 12 given tension is pressed partially onto the top surface of contact glass 13 by pressure rollers 22, and at this time, the waveforms formed in the width direction of the belt 12 and the tip parts of the arc-shaped teeth of the pawls 23 fit and tightly contact each other, thus even if paper curls upward, its entrance between the top end faces of the pawls 23 and the belt 12 and passing through the pawls 23 do not occur. Since the rake angle theta is provided on the surfaces 23b in abutment on the original, the leading end of the original when it abuts slips downward, and the original is stopped surely. |
