PURPOSE:To prevent sealing materials etc. from being damaged by restricting any relative rotation between rotating discs by means of a simple structure by bringing, in contact with the inside wall of a case, the outside wall of an enclosed chamber containing said discs to be connected to both transmission shafts and viscous fluid. CONSTITUTION:In a differential gear case 1, a large diameter sleeve 5, a side plate 7, and a flanged sleeve 9 are installed, said side plate 7 and said sleeve 9 being fitted on shafts W1, W by splines 19, 17 respectively. An enclosed chamber 3 is made liquid- tight with sealing members 13, 15 and filled with silicone oil. One end of said large diameter sleeve 5 is connected with the flange 9a of said sleeve 9 in one body. Rotating discs 25, 27 are locked respectively to said large diameter sleeve 5 and a collared sleeve 11. When the relative rotation between said discs 25, 27 continues and heat is generated, the temperature of said silicone oil rises until increased internal pressure and thermal expansion of said enclosed chamber 3 cause frictional torque between said enclosed chamber 3 and differential gear case 1 through controlling member 29. The relative rotation between the discs is thus restricted by the above-mentioned simple method, and possible damage of sealing materials can be prevented from occur ring. |
