PURPOSE:To display the content of setup information before automatic starting so as to reduce setup time such as for tool setting by providing a decoder for setup information as to machining added to a machining program, the decoder being connected to a CRT device. CONSTITUTION:A machining program including setup information display data from a paper tape 1 or an automatic programming device 9 is entered in an input device 2, and stored in a machining program memory 3. At starting, the setup information is decoded by a setup information decoder 11, and the remaining machining program is decoded by a machining program decoder 4. The setup information decoded by the setup information decoder 11 is displayed on a screen of a CRT device 7 using kanji and graphic. Therefore, the setup information can be stored in the machining program memory 3 and displayed before automatic starting, so that setup time such as for tool setting can be reduced.
