PURPOSE:To automatize the conveyance of a sheet of cut-out cloth by holding one of sheets of cloth, etc. which have been cut out in piles by means of an adhesive tape in a holding device and, after transferring it in a defied position, releasing said sheet of cloth from said adhesive tape while pressing said sheet of cloth with a separator. CONSTITUTION:A holding device 3 is lowered toward a transferred object 21 such as a sheet of cloth, etc. due to the expansion and contraction of a horizontal arm 2 and a vertical arm 3. Before or after or at the same time the holding device 4 is placed on the transferred object 21, an up-down board 12 is lowered inside the holding device 4 and its adhesive tape 17 is brought into contact with the surface of the transferred object 21 from the opening of a separator 20. The adhesive tape 17 of the up-down board 12 holds the transferred object 21 and the holding device 4 is moved to another place by means of the horizontal arm 2, the vertical arm 3, and a slide bar 5. When the holding device 4 arrives at or in the vicinity of the end position, the up-down board 12 is lifted up inside the holding device 4, while the transferred object 21 is checked by the separator 20 and separated from the adhesive tape 17 of the up-down board 12. Thereby, the transferred object 21 is released at the end position.
