PURPOSE:To facilitate an observation on a display screen and the distinction between a target and a noise by performing a PPI sweep on temporally- compressed third video signals in a bearing direction in accordance with third sweep bearing signals. CONSTITUTION:Video signals fed in synchronism with sweep synchronous signals are alternately written in first and second storage means 1 and 2 and first and second sweep bearing signals indicative of the bearings of the written first and second video signals are held in first and second holding means 4 and 5, respectively. Third sweep bearing signal generator means 6 generates third sweep bearing signals that sweep at least two times during the sweep displayed on a display screen by the first and the second sweep bearing signals. Third video signal generator means 3 generates third video signals with amplitudes proportional to bearing angle differences between first and third and between second and third bearing angles. A PPI sweep is performed on the temporally-compressed third video signals in a bearing direction in accordance with the third sweep bearing signals.
