L-CARNOSINE ZINC FORMULATIONS AND METHODS OF USE

Disclosed are compositions comprising solvated L-carnosine zinc as well as methods of treating various disorders by administering solvated L-carnosine zinc to a patient in need of such treatement. The L-carnosine zinc may be solvated in a lipid emulsion, liposomal preparation, or other non-aqueous medium. The solvated L-carnosine zinc is particularly well-suited for topical or intravenous or intra-arterial administration. The composition may be used to treat disorders of the skin and ano-rectal tissues, disorders of the vascular endothelium, and other disorders.
