PURPOSE:To prevent the separation of the end part of a band body at the time of high speed traveling by forming a tread with a center part, side parts and intermediate parts while forming a reinforcing layer with a ribbon type band body and continuously winding said band body in the sectional direction of a tire. CONSTITUTION:A pneumatic tire 11 has a pair of beads 12, two layers of carcass layers 14 which are placed extending over the beads 12, two layers of belt layers 17 which are placed radially outside the crown part 14a of the carcass layer 14, a tread 18 which is placed radially outside the belt layer 17, and a reinforcing layer 20 which is placed so as to cover the side ends 17a of the belt layer 17. In such a structure, the tread 18 consists of a center part 18a, side end parts 18b, and intermediate parts 18c. And, the reinforcing layer 20 is formed with a ribbon type band body 22. And, the starting part 22a and the terminal end part 22b of the band body 22 are placed radially inside the pair of intermediate parts 18c of the tread 18 respectively, while the band body 22 is continuously wound in the sectional direction of the tire. |
