PURPOSE:To obtain a resin-molded transformer having excellent breakdown strength characteristics by dipping a coil in resin solution to form a resin film on the surface, then containing it together with other member to be resin-molded in a mold, and molding them in a resin molding. CONSTITUTION:A secondary coil l is dipped as a pretreating step in resin solution 2. The resin to be preferably used is of the same type as that of resin 5 for forming a resin molding with a rapid drying property. A resin film 2a of approx. 1mm thick is formed on the entire surface of the coil 1, and air contained between the windings is enclosed in the interior to be shut off the exterior. Then, the coil 1, a primary coil 4, a primary terminal, and other member to be resin-molded are set in a mold 6, resin solution 5, such as liquidlike polyurethane is poured under pressure. When molding the resin molding, no air bubbles are generated from the coil 1, and resin molding in which no air bubble exists on the surface of the coil 1 and the environments is obtained.
