The invention comprises a process to prevent the blocking of plastic films of at least 5 mu m thickness by the addition of a powdery antiblocking agent with an average particle size of from 3-10 mu m, wherein the antiblocking agent used is a hydrotalcite with the empirical formula Mg1-xAlx(OH)2Ax/n<n->. m H2O, where 0 < x </= 0.5, A<n-> is an anion with valence n and m >/= 0, in an amount of 0,05 to 1 % (wt) calculated on the plastic.
