CIRCUIT BREAKER WITH ADJUSTABLE RATING SELECTOR

The contacts are opened automatically when the selected overcurrent value is reached. The rotary selector switch is accommodated in a housing with a removable cover (13) to give access to it. The cover is arranged with a window (201), which makes visible the designated rated value indicating disc (195) showing the rated value set by the selector switch (187). The rotary hand operated selector switch of the isolating switch is coupled to a PCB which carries the components of the static release circuit. The rotary selector switch works in conjunction with a number of resistances (189), connected in series with one resistance for each rated current range. ADVANTAGE - Different resistances can be selected where in prior art rated current was adjusted by changing fuse, preventing unauthorised personnel altering current setting.
