<p>PURPOSE:To prevent the wear of a head during fast forwarding and rewinding, by constituting a head drum with an upper, middle and lower drums and stopping the middle drum at a prescribed position during the fast forwarding and rewinding. CONSTITUTION:The lower drum 2 is fixed to the housing 1, and the middle drum 8 is fixed at the upper part of the inside hollow shaft 5 along with the magnet 10 and the reinforcing plate 11 incorporated to the other end of the shaft 5. The upper drum 14 attached to the shaft 13, and at the same time the middle drum stop position deciding device consisting of the solenoid 26, roller 21 and others. The roller 21 fits to the groove 27 of the plate 11 to position the head 6 at the area where no tape is wound. In such constitution, the solenoid 26 is actuated during fast forwarding and rewinding to rise up the roller 21, and the drum 8 is stopped at the position where the head 6 does not touch the tape. In this case, the rotation of the drum 14 is continued to cause no change of the travelling load. Thus the wear can be avoided for the head 6.</p> |
