PURPOSE:To improve the precision of image pickup position by superimposing reference marks preliminarily provided on a map original plate on a pattern set in the camera side when the map original plate is divided into plural divisional maps and its image is picked up with a video camera. CONSTITUTION:A pattern P corresponding to reference lines Lx and Ly provided on a map original plate 2 is set in a superimposing device 5; and when the image of a divisional map A1 is picked up by a video camera 3, an operator superimposes reference lines Lx and Ly in the pickedup map image on the pattern P while watching the picture on the screen of a monitor television 6. When respective images of divisional maps A1, A2, and A3 are picked up from the map original plate 2, the operator adjusts an original platen 1 while watching the picture on the screen of the monitor television 6 so that reference lines Lx and Ly provided on the map original plate 2 are superimposed on the pattern in the superimposing device 5. |
