<p>PURPOSE:To prevent the sticking of powder raw materials on the inside peripheral face of a drum body which rotates around the central axis and to improve pelletizing property by providing many lifter bars each having an adequate height and length size to the inside peripheral face of said drum body along the axial direction thereof. CONSTITUTION:A suitable gradient G is provided to the axial center (d) of the freely turnable cylindrical drum body 2 of a drum mixer 1 and the powder raw materials M for iron making sintered ore are supplied thereto from an ore feed end 3. The raw materials are mixed, humidified, and pelletized and the pellets are taken out of an ore discharge end 4. The many lifter bars 6 which scrape the powder raw materials M according to the turning of the drum body 2 are projected onto the inside peripheral face 2a of the drum body 2 along the axial direction. The lifter bars 6 are constituted to 0.03-0.10 ratio between the height size H and the inside diameter S of the drum body 2 and to <=0.25 ratio between the length size and the axial size of the drum body 2. The lifter bars 6 are disposed within a 1-50% of the drum body 2 from the ore discharge end 4 and the pitch P thereof is specified to 45-120 deg..
