PURPOSE:To obtain an reinforced plate-shaped body having enough strength by a method wherein a first layer made of an uncured fiber mat containing phenolic resin binder, a second layer made of a cloth-like material, which is impregnated with phenolic resin solution and, after that,dried, and a third layer made of filmy material are put one upon another in the order named and, after that, pressurized and heated. CONSTITUTION:A first layer made of an uncured fiber mat containing phenolic resin binder, a second layer made of a cloth-like material, which is impregnated with phenolic resin solution and, after that, dried, and a third layer made of a filmy material are put one upon another in the order named and, after that, pressurized and heated so as to cure the phenolic resins and at the same time to integrally bond the mat, the cloth-like material and the filmy material to one another. Thus, the phenolic resin in the dried cloth-like material is softened by heating and the plastic deformation of the dried cloth-like material becomes possible and consequently the dried cloth-like material fits to a mold well. Further, because the phenolic resins in the dried cloth-like material and in said mat cure simultaneously, both the cloth-like material and the mat are tightly made into an integral body. Consequently, no separation between the cloth-like material can be mat occurs and enough reinforcing effect is obtained. Further, the filmy material is also tightly made into an integral eddy by said phenolic resins. |
