PURPOSE:A composition for intrarectal administration useful for treating diseases having hemorrhage tendency and blood coagulation factor, having high safety, being readily administered even to infants and children, having improved adsorption characteristics, obtained by blending vitamin K with a specific compound. CONSTITUTION:Vitamin K is blended with one or more of a carboxylic acid containing two or more carboxyl groups, an alkali metallic salt (e.g. trisodium citrate) thereof, 6-10C fatty acid, an alkali metallic salt (e.g. sodium caproate) thereof, salicylic acid, a salicylic acid derivative and an alkali metallic salt (e.g. sodium salicylate) thereof. 0.5-12wt% carboxylic acid, etc., based on whole preparation is blended with a fat and oil base or a water-soluble base to give the aimed substance. The concentration of vitamin K blended in the aimed substance is 2-200mg based on 1g total preparation and the ratio of vitamin K to the total weight of 0.2-20% W/W. |
