PURPOSE:To simplify the process for copying an original, by a method wherein a thermal recording paper provided with a thermosensible layer on one surface thereof and an original to be copied are opposedly disposed at the open ends of a light source housing and brought into pressure contact with each other and, in this condition, a light is applied from a light source to heat an image area for discoloring of the area of the thermosensible layer. CONSTITUTION:An original 19 is set on a sponge board 18 of a base 2 so that an image area 20 faces outside. A thermal recording paper 6 is led out from a thermosensible paper supply roller 7 by a required length and fixed to adhesive portions 13 provided on the both ends of a glass plate 2. The set thermal recording paper 6 is opposed to the original 19 and depressed down on the original 19 by grasping a grip portion 10. With the pressing force more than a predetermined value, a pressure sensitive mechanism is actuated and a lamp 8 is turned ON. The light from the lamp 8 is transmitted through the glass plate 12 and the thermal recording paper 6 to be applied to the original 19, which resulting in the heat generation of the image area 20 of the original 19 inducing a color reaction in a thermosensible layer 16. As a result, an image is formed by copying on the thermal recording paper 6. After completion of copying, the thermal recording paper 6 is cut by using a cutter 14. |
