PACKET COMMUNICATION METHOD

PURPOSE:To contrive the shortening of the delay time attended with frame transfer by setting a multi-link procedure at every line or a line group selected optionally from plural lines set between a transmitting side and a receiving side and applying the sequence control of a reception frame and data flow control at every multi-link procedure. CONSTITUTION:The information transfer between a layer 3 procedure controller 1 and a multi-link controller 2 and between a multi-link procedure controller 6 and a layer 3 procedure controller 7 is executed while being aware of the multi-link procedure. A multi-link identifier (multi-link number MLPN) is given to a data block 9 sent from the multi-link controller 2 to a layer 2 procedure controller 3. Moreover, the layer 2 procedure controller 5 observes its multi-link idintifier (multi-link number MLPN) to transfer a data block 9 to a corresponding multi-link procedure controller 6. The sequence correction of a reception frame and flow control are executed at every multi-link procedure controller.
