<p>PURPOSE:To reduce the fast forwarding time by recording a fast forward control signal on a tape except prescribed length from a leader tape and controlling the fast forward speed of the tape at a high speed on the section where the signal exists. CONSTITUTION:A fast forward control signal is recorded on a magnetic tape except prescribed length from a leader tape given at the start and end of the tape 5. In applying fast forwarding during the use of the tape, a control signal reproducing circuit 13 reproduces the fast forward control signal recorded on the tape 5 and gives the result to an input mode control circuit 11. When the circuit 11 discriminates the presence of the control signal, the circuit 11 gives an instruction to apply high-speed fast forward to a reel motor driving circuit 2. Since no control signal is reproduced by the circuit 13 when the control signal recording section is passed over by the fast forwarding state, the circuit 11 discriminates the absence of the fast forward control signal. Thus, the circuit 11 gives an instruction to apply low-speed fast forwarding to the circuit 2. Thus, the tape is stopped surely before the tape comes to the start or end.</p> |
