PURPOSE:To allow the titled telephone set to cope with the revision or addition of functions by providing an additional function connection section and loading and coupling the additional function section having various functions so as to have only to prepare and mount the additional function section having the revised function or the additional function. CONSTITUTION:The additional function connection section 17 coupling the additional function section 30 attachably and detachably connected to a communication line 20 and coupled with the additional function section 30 is provided in addition to the basic function of the telephone set comprising sections such as a handset 11, a telephone circuit 12, an operation section 13, a display section 14, a basic information storage section 15 and a control section 16. Moreover, the additional function section 30 is formed as a card (e.g., a magnetic card or an IC card) having a thin flat plate and loaded to the additional function connection section 17. Thus, the additional function section 30 having the function of addition or revision is prepared in desiring to revise or add functions and it is attained by having only to load the section 30.
