PURPOSE:To obtain a sensor with an excellent temperature property adapted to output a hydraulic signal as electrical signal along with a high accuracy, by making light emitted from a light source incident through a pinhole to measure the intensity of light with a light receiving element stuck on a diaphragm. CONSTITUTION:Light emitted from a light emitting element 5 is made parallel with a collimation lens 1 and then, focused at one point F with a condenser lens 2. A first light receiving element 3 is mounted on a displacing surface of a diaphragm 4 adapted to be displaced finely depending on the size of an oil pressure P in such a manner that a light receiving surface thereof moves along the optical axis near the focusing point F with the displacement of the diaphragm 4. Light is incident through a pinhole 8 provided on a light receiving surface of the light receiving element 3 to detect the oil pressure P depending on the quantity of light received with the light receiving element 3. Moreover, a half-mirror 7 is provided between the lenses 1 and 2 and a part of the parallel light is taken out sideways to be detected with a second light receiving element 6. Finally the quantity of light received with the light receiving element 3 is corrected by the quantity of light thus obtained.
