PURPOSE:To prevent the leakage of ink, by a method wherein a substrate forming an ink flow passage and a substrate cover are joined and, thereafter, a plane securing the cap sealability of the front surface of a nozzle is obtained by the processing simultaneously applying mechanical cutting to the substrate and the substrate cover inclusive of the junction. CONSTITUTION:A substrate 2 containing a nozzle part 1 injecting ink and a substrate cover 3 are bonded, and not only the substrate 2 and the substrate cover 3, both of which form the outer periphery of the nozzle part 1 but also the junction plane 6 are cut by milling processing or other machining to obtain a plane 5. A nozzle cap 4 is closely contact with the plane 5 thus obtained to suck the ink remaining in the nozzle part 1 from an ink discharge tube 7. By this method, certain nozzle capping is made possible and the leakage of the ink is prevented, and the evaporation of the ink and the surface damage of the nozzle part can be prevented more certainly. |
