PURPOSE:To ensure the constant take-up speed of a hose with a hose reel by pressing a friction roller to the outermost hose in the radial direction of the reel from the radial side thereof and driving the roller at a constant speed. CONSTITUTION:A friction roller 52 is pressed with a hose 14 wound about a hose reel 10 and located at the extreme outside thereof in a radial direction, or the 'outermost hose' and drives the hose reel 10 for the rotation thereof via the hose 14. As the friction roller 52 turns at a constant speed, the hose reel 10 at the radial position of the 'outermost hose' pressed with the friction roller 52 comes to have a constant peripheral speed.
