PURPOSE:To ensure the stopping of base board carriage after the proper alignment of printing circuit boards by providing a carriage mechanism actuated with a drive source and to carry the boards, and an alignment mechanism for aligning the boards on the carriage mechanism. CONSTITUTION:An alignment mechanism has two detecting means 16a and 16b arranged apart from each other and stops a carriage operation on a drive source 9 to make a reference level from a phantom level connecting the contact parts of said two detecting means 16a and 16b with a printing circuit board, when the leading end of a carried base board 19 has contacted both detecting means 16a and 16b. Therefore, the base board 19 is aligned when carried on a carriage mechanism 8 actuated with the drive source 9 and in contact with the two detecting means 16a and 16b. In this case, both detecting means 16a and 16b operate in cooperation with each other for stopping the drive source 9, thereby ensuring the interruption of the carriage of the board 19 after the alignment thereof.
