<p>PURPOSE:To keep off any wasteful consumption of paper, by installing a device which calculates paper sheet numbers and unprinted sheet number left behind in a printer at a time when a paper jam occurs as well as remaining sheet numbers in the printer at a time when printing of the first sheet of an optional page is started. CONSTITUTION:Print sheet numbers (n0) per original page have been set by a setting device 101 in advance, and paper sheet numbers (n2) remaining behind in a printer is calculated by a calculating device 103 at a point of form feed time when print operation for the first sheet of an original optional page. And, if a paper jam occurs, at that point of time, paper sheet numbers N1 remaining behind in the printer is found by a calculating device 102 and unprinted remaining sheet numbers (n3) of the page in printing is found by a calculating device 104, comparing (n0)+(n2) with (n1)+(n3) by a judging device 105, and the sum of a smaller side is discriminated, whereby the quotient l of (N-1)/n0 and the remainder m are calculated by a calculating device 106, thus the page to be reprinted and the number of sheets are determined. Thus, image information to be reprinted is accurately called back by only removing the jammed paper, thus wasteful paper consumption is prevented from occurring.</p> |
