PURPOSE:To steadily obtain a low cost cathode plate in which the corrosion of an outer rib is prevented by heat-bonding a tube fitted to a core base and the covered part of the core base by a pair of split dies facing the tube. CONSTITUTION:A covered part 2' made of thermoplastic synthetic resin is formed in the surroundings of an upper outer rib, and a tube 3 is fitted to the core base 8 of the covered part 2'. A split die 9 having the surface 6 inscribed in a circle with dimension equivalent to the sum of the diameter of the core base 8 and the thickness of the tube 3 and a peak part 7 which is lowered so as not to break the tube 3 in the space between tubes 3 is prepared. The core base 8 and the tube 3 are pressed by a pair of split dies 9 which are preheated to bond them. Thereby, the production process is remarkably simplified and the cost of a battery is reduced. |
