PURPOSE:To prevent the damage of a tape when a tape transfer device is started by rewriting the variable of a digital filter in response to the tape winding diameter so that the tape speed is quickly controlled to its target driving speed. CONSTITUTION:The arithmetic processing means 5-9 operate the rotary cycles and their reference levels of both a supply side reel 1 and a take-up side reel 2. A compensating digital filter 14 uses the output results of the means 5-9 as the inputs. The tape transfer speed is controlled based on the output result of the filter 14. When the tape driving action is started, the information which is obtained by detecting and calculating rotary cycles of both reels 1 and 2 exceeds the prescribed threshold value. Thus, the information of a circulation part of the filter 14 is changed to the prescribed value. Thus, the tape speed can be quickly controlled to a target level when the tape transfer action is started. Then the tape damage can be avoided. |
