PURPOSE:To prevent the crack on a surface treated layer and breakage of a rotary shaft by forming an annular cut groove on the periphery of the edge part of a rotary body and generating the max. stress of load on the surface of the cut groove. CONSTITUTION:An annular shallow groove 6 is worked along a rotary shaft 1 having the perfect removed part by a plating 5 thickness portion at the edge surface of a rotary body. Assembly is performed so that the edge surface of the rotary body is set overhanged state on the groove 6. In the vicinity of the edge surface of the rotary part, stress or the stress due to the fastening fitting is concentrated. Therefore, even if a variety of loads act during operation, the max. stress is generated on the surface of the groove 6. Therefore, crack is not generated on a hard plating 5, and the generation of fine crack on the surface of the rotary shaft can be avoided.
