PURPOSE:To realize a montage synthetic display of a scene and the commodities in a simple and free relation of arrangement, by calculating the relative position relation between the scene and a cubic index in a picture and applying the picture of a desired object based on the information on said calculation. CONSTITUTION:A cubic index 16 is set at a position (on a desk, a floor, etc.) where the display of an object is desired in a scene 13. This scene 13 is photographed by a video input device (TV camera) 14 and sent to a picture processor 11. Then a seeming way of an object image as well as the two-dimensional coordinates where said object image should be displayed, i.e., the relative position relation between the scene 13 and the index 16 is calculated by the processor 11. Based on this calculation data, a two-dimensional picture is produced from the picture information on the object received from an information data base 12. Then the processor 11 synthesizes the fetched picture and a produced object image 18. Then a synthetic montage image 17 is displayed on a monitor 15. |
