PURPOSE:To eliminate the needs for calling one by one by means of a nurse and to reduce a labour quantity by automatically executing the acceptance of outpatients and the issue of acceptance cards and executing display for calling the waiting patients into a consultation room. CONSTITUTION:If ID cards which the patients have brought are read into an acceptance unit 1 by a card reader 28 and if a diagnosis selection key is depressed, an acceptance controller sets acceptance numbers based on the acceptance numbers in the present acceptance number storage part 26 of an exterior storage device 37. A CPU 21 controls an acceptance card printer 29, prints the acceptance cards and returns the ID cards. If the nurse operates a call key for calling the specified patient, the acceptance controller displays the acceptance numbers on a call display 4. Since the display does not go off until next called in patient is inputted, he can enter the consultation room if he views the display even if he temporarily leaves his seat. Since the patients waiting are informed that their numbers are at hand, they hardly leave their seats, and the labour of the nurse for searching the patients can be reduced.
