The glazing-bar supporting profile comprising a longitudinally symmetrical metal strip with longitudinal profilings, e.g. longitudinal grooves, on both sides for the adhesive bonding of wooden glazing bars is to be rendered usable for different thicknesses of insulating glass, without having to make any changes to the metal strip. This is effected by connection components which can be plugged onto the longitudinal profilings (2) of the metal strip (1) and are in the form of U-shaped sheet-metal clamps (5) for receiving and adhesively bonding the slotted interior wooden glazing bars (3). The glazing-bar supporting profile is used, in particular, for the erection of glazing-bar windows and for the modernisation of such windows in historical buildings. <IMAGE>
