PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently record the images of both front and rear surfaces on the front and rear surfaces of transfer material without reversing the paper feeding direction of an original. SOLUTION: This device is constituted to carry the original D on a platen glass 51 passing a paper feeding route constituted of carrying drums 54A, 54B and 54C, and on the other hand the image of the rear surface is read in a state where a first mirror unit 57 and a second mirror unit 58 are moved from the initial position of scanning shown by broken lines to a stopping position shown by solid lines. Next respective mirror units 57 and 58 are returnee to the initial position of scanning, so that a front surface image on the platen glass 51 is read from the top end side of the original D same as a rear surface image. As for image forming, the rear surface image is formed on a second image carrier, and the front surface image is formed on a first image carrier, and the toner images of the rear surface and the front surface are transferred on the transfer material by first and second transferring means, then the toner images transferred on both surfaces are fixed. |
