PURPOSE:To simplify a circuit by detecting a minimum Y-coordinate value from a vector value in which a closed graphic is given and detecting a minimum X-coordinate value corresponding to he minimum Y-coordinate values as the start point of a painting-out pattern. CONSTITUTION:The Y-coordinate detection means of a position detection detection circuit 23 detects the minimum Y-coordinate value of the closed graphic, paints it out and transmits it to a painting out circuit 4. The X-coordinate detection means of the position detection circuit 23 detects the minimum X- coordinate value, paints it out and transmits it to the painting-out circuit 4. The painting-out circuit 4 writes the painting-out pattern in the closed graphic in a frame memory 3 with the X and Y-coordinate values which the X- coordinate detection means and the Y-coordinate detection means have detected as the start point of the painting pattern. thus, the painting-out relative to the closed graphic due to hardware can be executed with a simple circuit.
