A bearing arrangement for a one-piece transverse control arm of a wheel suspension has two bearing brackets fixed to the body and arranged at a distance from one another, which define a swivel axis extending essentially in the vehicle longitudinal direction. The bearing bracket adjacent to the nearest end of the vehicle is arranged, in relation to the control arm joint assigned to it, on its side remote from this vehicle end and the control arm joint is over-mounted on this, whilst the other bearing bracket fixes the control arm joint supported on this on the vehicle body in the direction of the swivel axis. In the event of an impact force acting on this vehicle end, that part of the vehicle body forming the bearing base for the transverse control arm can also be deformed in order to neutralise impact energy, in that the bearing bracket serving for over-mounting the control arm can be displaced in the direction of the other bearing bracket.
