摘要 <p>A method of determining the quantitative content of an admixture in an alloy consists in measuring the temperatures of a liquid sample of an alloy with a known content of the admixture in the course of its cooling and crystallization and the temperatures of a liquid sample of the alloy with an unknown content of the admixture in the course of its cooling and crystallization and measuring the temperatures of a liquid sample of the pure metal constituting the base of the alloy in the course of its cooling and crystallization; determining the maximum temperature gradients at the end of crystallization for the sample of the pure metal, for the sample of the alloy with the known content of the metal and for the sample of the alloy with the unknown content of the admixture, after which for the purposes of determination of the quantitative content of the admixture in the alloy, the maximum temperature gradient at the end of crystallization for the sample of the alloy with the unknown content of the admixture is deducted from the maximum temperature gradient at the end of crystallization for the sample of the pure metal and the maximum temperature gradient at the end of crystallization for the sample of the alloy with the known content of the admixture is deducted from the maximum temperature gradient at the end of crystallization for the sample of the pure metal and then the ratio between the first and the second differences is multiplied by the quantity of the admixture in the sample of the alloy with the known content of the admixture, it being understood, that the maximum temperature gradient for each sample is the difference between the real temperature of the sample at the end of crystallization and its temperature calculated for the same moment in the absence of release of the hidden heat of crystallization.</p>
