Process for forming a visible image in which an electrophotographic element, having a silicon layer of a thickness between 0.5 and 3 mu m as the sole photoconductive layer, is developed by an one-component developing powder having a resistivity of less than 10<5> ohm.metre. The application of such a thin silicon layer results in a very low dark-decay.
