PURPOSE:To make simultaneous sealing performable at a relatively low temperature by holding a bending bulb, whose both ends are opened to the same direction, so as to make its opening end turn down, making each frit-coated button stem contact with both opening ends, heating it and simultaneously depositing the frit, then sealing both ends of the bulb at the same time. CONSTITUTION:Two U-shaped bulbs 11 and 11 formed with a fluorescent screen on each inner surface are held so as to make all openings 12 and 13 turn down and both intermediate openings 13 and 13 come nearer to be flush with each other, and furthermore to from both these bulbs into the same flat surface. A block plate 45 is attached to a stepped part 43 of an interconnecting part 41 of a blocking member 4, and paste frit 51 is applied to an inner surface of an engaging flange 42 and each outer surface of sealing parts 44 and 44. And, it is heated after attachment of this blocking member 4. With this constitution, a mount stem 3 and the blocking member 4 both are airtightly sealed to a bulb 1, thereby dispensing with any requirement to form both ends of the bulb into being specially longer, and such a fear that the frit 5 might flow down is eliminated, thus simultaneous sealing can be done.
