PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve a configuration that can suppress adhesion of particles (toner), while suppressing an increase in cost and size of an apparatus to which a toner adhesion suppressing member 990 as a particle adhesion suppressing member is assembled.SOLUTION: An insulation member 991I is attached to a connection member 991C as a conductive member having a constant potential. The insulation member 991I is formed of a porous material including EPDM and has a density of 0.01 g/cmor more and 0.2 g/cmor less. A toner P charged in the same polarity (negative polarity) as that of a toner which suppresses adhesion thereof is caused to adhere onto a free surface F of the insulation member 991I that is on the opposite side of the surface attached to the connection member 991C. Thus, the surface potential of the toner adhesion suppressing member 990 is increased in the direction of negative polarity so as to further suppress adhesion of the toner, and thereby adhesion of the toner can be suppressed without providing a device that applies a voltage.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 8 |
