A relay having a magnet system which has a core (1), a yoke (2) and a coil (3a) arranged on a coil body (3) which has flanges, as well as an armature (6), and having contacts (10a, 11a, 13a) held in a contact carrier (9), it being possible for at least one of these contacts to be actuated by means of the armature (6), a multilayer insulation being provided between the coil (3a) and the contact spring assembly in order to save space. <IMAGE>
