A plug connector part is proposed which is composed essentially of an outer housing part, a different inner housing part which can be fixed in the interior of the outer housing part, and a slide which is held such that it can be displaced out of the outer housing part at right angles to the insertion direction of the plug contact elements. For the purpose of assigning the two housing parts to one another so that they are held, before the insertion of the plug contact elements, a slide is held in a guide on one housing part, such that it can be displaced at right angles to the insertion direction of the plug contact elements, starting from a first position, and can be engaged with the other housing part, in such a manner that the slide assigns the other housing part to the one housing part in a holding manner in a second position, in such a manner that the plug contact elements can be fed to the chambers in this position and can be held therein, corresponding to their first state, and in such a manner that the slide assigns the one housing part to the other housing part in a third position, in a holding manner, in such a manner that those plug contact elements which are present in the chambers are fixed in the same, corresponding to their second state.
