PURPOSE:To reduce the amount used of a processing solution, without reducing the amplification effect of an image due to a lapse of time, by using a specified silver halide color photosensitive material in the titled method, and by specifying the amount used for an one-bite intensifier to <=5l and >=0.05l per 1m<2> said photosensitive material. CONSTITUTION:The silver halide color photosensitive material which does not contain substantially silver iodide, and contains >=80mol% silver chloride as a photosensitive silver halide, is used in the titled method. The amount used for the one-bite intensifier is specified to <=5l and >=0.05l per 1m<2> said photosen sitive material. And, a pure silver chloride is preferably used for the silver chloride. The content of the silver iodide is most preferably at all null. Thus, the amount used for the processing solution can be reduced by an one bite type color intensifying method, without reducing the amplification effect of the image due to processing fatigue.
