The subject matter of the present invention is a method for operating an electrical installation comprising a housing and current-carrying components, in which method - the housing temperature and the current intensity flowing through the current-carrying components are determined, and - the maximum permissible current-carrying capacity at which the installation is not subject to thermal overloading is calculated by means of a thermal model taking into account the current intensity and the housing temperature. A corresponding arrangement for operating an electrical installation is a further subject matter of the invention. |
