An open-loop, closed-loop control system and/or monitoring system for vehicles has a processor (1) with memory (2). A module (11, 12) which serves as peripheral device is equipped with transmitter (S) and receiver (E). The said module (11, 12) outputs, with the transmitter (S), identification and/or operational data which have been stored on the basis of a radio instruction signal received from the receiver (E).
