<p>NEW MATERIAL:A derivative expressed by formula I [R<1> is H, alkyl or alkoxycarbonyl; R<2> and R<3> are H or together link to form a cyclic group and represent a group expressed by formula II (A is H, alkyl, or aryl); R<4> is acyl- substituted or unsubstituted amino group]. EXAMPLE:3-Acetamido-1,5-imino-1,3,5-trideoxy-D-glucose. USE:Useful as a medicinal composition having antimicrobial activity. PREPARATION:The N atom, 4- and 6-positions of moranoline are protected and the 2- and 3-positions are epoxidized. Azide group is then introduced using sodium azide, etc. The resultant compound is then reduced with palladium- carbon, etc., or acylated with ammonium formate, etc., and the protecting groups, as necessary, are removed to afford the aimed compound.</p> |
