<p>PURPOSE: To reduce power consumption by operating a sub-lock bar which engages with a sub-lock groove of a bar at the lock position of a lock bar and holds its position and releases the engagement with the bar at the unlock position by a drive mechanism. CONSTITUTION: When a key 47 is inserted, an identification number is applied with a keyboard switch or the like and a remote signal is generated, then a motor 33 rotates in normal direction, a sub-lock bar 43 is pulled out from a lock bar 24 and remote lock is released. Next, when a key 47 is rotated and an ignition switch is turned on, the cam shaft 16 rotates, a cam follower 19 and lock bars 23, 24 are raised to the highest position, and the steering lock is released. Next, when a motor vehicle begins to run and exceeds a set speed, the motor 33 rotates in a reverse direction and inserts the sub-lock bar 43 to a lock groove 31 below the lock bar 24, and operates the remote lock and maintains an unlock state.</p> |
