摘要 In a method for locating an object such as a target for firing simulation in which the echo of a radiation beam emitted in the direction of the object and reflected back from the object is detected in the form of an electric signal, the signal is subjected to a correction treatment in order to compensate for variations in detection sensitivity as a function of the distance of the object. The signal treatment primarily consists in imposing on the signal a variable minimum threshold or a constant threshold with a variable preliminary gain. The variations take place in accordance with a predetermined correction law as a function of the time which elapses between emission of the radiation and detection of the echo.
