PURPOSE:To obtain a cosmetic having excellent stability with day and adaptability, comprising modified superoxide dismutase prepared by bonding a polyalkylene glycol to superoxide dismutase of copper or zinc type and a water- soluble polyhydric alcohol as essential components. CONSTITUTION:A skin cosmetic suitable as skin lotion, cosmetic milky lotion or cosmetic cream, comprising modified superoxide dismutase (preferably 0.00001-1pt.wt. calculated as enzyme amount) prepared by bonding a polyalkylene glycol to superoxide dismutase of copper or zinc type (one obtained from plant leaf or blood cell, liver or placenta of animal) and a water-soluble polyhydric alcohol (preferably 0.5-50wt.% based on total amount) as essential components. Since a large amount of superoxide occurring in exposure of the skin to ultraviolet rays or wound is disproportionated and differentiated by using the cosmetic, aging and drying of the skin is prevented. |
